who we are

Chandler Rubenstein Design is a residential design firm based in Brooklyn, New York.

In our designs, you will find clean lines, a play on natural elements, the mixing of modern and vintage, and a dedication to custom sourcing that makes every space distinctive. The end result is unique and most importantly very much a reflection of our client.

Our goal is to create undaunted and timeless designs that are comfortable, rich in texture, and sophisticated yet simple. Working closely with clients locally and across the country, our mission is to produce beautiful, custom spaces that reflect a personal aesthetic and lifestyle.

Our Philosophy

We believe that your home is an extension of your personality, a sanctuary where you should feel entirely at ease. Our design philosophy is rooted in the idea that interior spaces should be a reflection of who you are. Our approach to interior design is deeply client-centric. We start every project by taking the time to listen and understand your vision, preferences, and lifestyle. A true believer in the idea that every space should be a reflection of the people who inhabit it, Denise approaches each project with an unwavering commitment to understanding the unique needs and desires of our clients. She works closely with clients to ensure that their personality and lifestyle are authentically represented in every design. We believe that the best designs are born from collaboration, where our expertise meets your dreams.

Principal Designer and Founder

Denise Rubenstein Chandler

As principal and owner Denise started her journey in the world of fashion, where she honed her skills in understanding style, color, and texture. This foundation allowed her to develop a unique approach to interior design, where she brings elements of it into the realm of interior aesthetics. What sets Denise apart is her ability to seamlessly fuse creativity and innovation from her fashion background with the functionality and comfort of interior spaces. She sees every space as a canvas, where colors, patterns, and textures are carefully curated to tell a story and evoke emotions.

Denise currently lives in Brooklyn Heights with her husband Dean, their son Sawyer, and their pup Huckleberry (Huck).
